    Lotus Hunan is one of the best Chinese food restaurants Austin Texas has to offer. It's family owned and operated by the Vo family and when you're there they will make you feel like family! I've been eating there for over twenty years and definitely have some favorites. The sesame chicken is fantastic! It has a sweeter sauce than most with hints of ginger and other spices. It can be made spicy or you can get hot oil on the side to make it to your own liking. In a close second is the cashew chicken. It has a nice brown sauce with great flavor and big pieces of chicken with fresh vegetables. My wife and I both love the classic egg rolls and I get the hot and sour soup as well. Regardless of what you order you won't be disappointed! My wife and I love Lotus Hunan so much we decided to have our rehearsal dinner here the night before we got married a little over 9 years ago! Besides great food we have many years of great memories there of birthday and anniversary celebrations through the years!

    Lotus Hunan is the girl you can never get rid of.
    You feel the warmth from the eclectic family who has operated this place for years.  The food no matter what you order hits the spot.   Westlake is lucky to have a place we can cal our own.  Lotus hunan always rocks!

    Options are aplenty at both lunch and dinner at Lotus Hunan and I began with egg rolls and the entrées with many to choose from there's something for everyone. I normally do not like Chinese food but I will come back to enjoy another dish. The staff is super nice and friendly as well.

    This place is great! Super friendly staff, great overall service and fast too! Just a little space in a strip mall off Bee Cave. We live nearby so decided to try it out, and will definitely be back!

    They are super happy to customize any dish on the menu how you'd like it -- sauce, veggies, meat. I love that. Got Shrimp and mixed veggies with a garlic sauce -- yum! Generous portions, so perfect for leftovers. And bottomless rice. They have great homemade spicy mustard, sweet and sour sauce and chili sauce, all of which were really tasty. Watch out because the mustard is spicy!

    My boyfriend got the Pork Lo Mein and Yum!! Lots of pork, yummy noodles and crunchy veg. It's his favorite Chinese dish and he said this was one of the best he's had. We will be back!

    Food is very bland, you're better off going to a Chinese buffet and getting something that's more flavorful to be honest.
